Sharjah Real Estate Department Expands E-Services To Kalba And Al Dhaid

The Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Municipal Councils of Kalba and Al-Dhaid cities, which is an important step in enhancing its strategic drive for digital transformation. This initiative will make it easier for clients to undertake real estate procedures in the two cities by accessing the electronic services provided to inquire about property data.

Dr. Obaid Al-Zaabi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Kalba, and Dr. Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al-Ketbi, Chairman of Al Dhaid Municipal Council, signed the agreement in the presence of Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director-General of SRERD.

The new e-services will enable customers in Kalba and Al-Dhaid to print property statement certificates directly from the relevant municipal council buildings without having to visit SRERD’s main office. This step is meant to reduce time and effort for real estate clients in those areas.

SRERD will provide both Municipal Councils with all the necessary detailed instructions on using the system, enabling the designated officials to submit electronic requests for property inquiries.

Al Shamsi drew on such e-linking projects to create one integrated business system to encourage investment in Sharjah Real Estate . He added that through these cooperation agreements between the entities, the department had already processed 14,000 electronic certificates for property inquiries by the end of August 2024.

It is part of Sharjah’s bigger strategy of enhancing the digital infrastructure to raise government services a notch higher. SRERD is planning to increase its efficiency and attract more investors to the emirate’s promising real estate market by decentralizing certain real estate services.
