Dubai’s Most Expensive Penthouse Sold for Dh500 Million

Dubai has recorded its most expensive penthouse sale, with a property at the upcoming Como Residences tower in Palm Jumeirah selling for Dh500 million.

This 21,949 sq ft five-bedroom penthouse at Como Residences broke all past real estate records for Dubai. According to documents from the Dubai Land Department, it is the most expensive property ever sold in Dubai.

The penthouse occupies the high-rise’s top floor, offering floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Arabian Gulf. It has a private elevator, a cutting-edge home automation system, and spacious interiors designed by Kengo Kuma Associates.

Como Residences is being developed by Nakheel and is scheduled to be completed in Q3 2027. It will be the tallest tower in Palm Jumeirah upon completion, surpassing the 52-floor Palm Tower.

The penthouse purchase eclipses the previous highest residential sale in Dubai, a Dh420 million transaction for a top-floor apartment in Marsa Al Arab Hotel last year.

Dubai has witnessed increasing international investor confidence and interest in luxury real estate as the emirate firmly establishes itself as a magnet for the super-rich worldwide. Indian businessman Mukesh Ambani also spent $80 million earlier this year on a villa in Palm Jumeirah.

The sale underscores the resilience of Dubai’s high-end property sector despite global economic headwinds. It’s expected to pave the way for more record-breaking deals as big-ticket developments get completed over the coming years.
