Dubai Land Department Gathers Experts to Define the Future of Dubaiโs Real Estate Landscape
Dubai Land Department (DLD) recently hosted a two-day strategy workshop titled Gobal Model for Communities of the Future at the Jumeirah Mina AโSalam Hotel, bringing together an assembly of government officials, experts, and real estate specialists. The aim was to collectively envision and shape the trajectory of Dubaiโs real estate sector.
This high-profile event witnessed the presence of influential figures such as Mattar Al Tayer, Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, and Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director-General of the Dubai Land Department, among others. More than 150 participants contributed to enriching discussions across several vital domains, emphasizing themes aligned with Dubaiโs Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Master Plan 2040.
The workshopโs agenda spanned comprehensive discussions encapsulating pivotal aspects, including the attraction of global institutional investors, the integration of real estate technology advancements, the blueprint for successful future communities, and innovative finance solutions. This initiative resonated with Dubaiโs ambition to cement excellence as a pivotal pursuit for the emirateโs present and future.
Sultan Butti bin Mejren underscored the importance of collaborating with strategic partners to ensure sustained competitiveness and growth in Dubaiโs real estate market. He highlighted the sectorโs exceptional performance, citing a staggering 37% surge in property transaction values in
Q3 2023 along with a notable 15% increase in new investors.
The workshopโs sessions navigated through crucial subjects encompassing traditional and contemporary urban designs, sustainability, cutting-edge technological developments, and strategies to foster creativity within the Dubai Land Departmentโs ecosystem. The focus was on leveraging Dubaiโs unique architecture and promoting sustainable urban planning aligned with global standards.
Majida Ali Rashid, CEO of the Real Estate Development Sector at DLD, stressed the workshopโs continuity with the departmentโs ongoing efforts.
